Favorite Event: Symphony

Last night, Michael came into town on his way back from Ohio and I got us tickets to the Notre Dame symphony that one of my classmates was performing. I have never been to any orchestra or symphony. I actually don't know if they are even the same thing, but I definitely cannot wait to go again. One of my new friends, Chris, was playing in the second violin section. The performance lasted about 1.5 hours and I think there were about 15 of my fellow classmates there. After the busy weeks I have had though, it was nice to just sit there, listen and watch the conductor going nuts with his wand. Plus the co-concert leaders did not like one another. I guess the "lead" in the orchestra is always the first violinist. Well, the first was a guy and the second violinist was a girl and both shared the "co-captain" seat. If looks could kill.

Anyways, I definitely am going to be checking out more events at Notre Dame now. There are some really talented students and the performing arts hall is gorgeous!
